Exploding cars have been part of GTA since the first game. However, falling from a great height and then bursting like firecrackers is a more recent phenomenon and one that doesn’t sit well with everyone.
The creator writes: “I still hate it even today,” and receives much support with hundreds of comments and over 2,600 likes. However, not the entire community is on his side.
“More realism would be nice”
Most players seem to agree that it would be nicer if falling cars didn’t end in an inferno right away. It’s said, for instance: “I would prefer if a car that lands on its nose has a small chance to explode but a greater chance to deform or lose many parts.”
More realism with falling cars would be nice. GTA 4 did this better than GTA 5 does at the moment. There, cars usually take time to get damaged before they completely break down. They only explode in specific cases.
According to players, GTA 5 has added a bit more action effects here to create more noise.
However, some users believe that such absurd scenes simply belong to GTA. Since the first installment, you can chain cars together and trigger chain-explosions. “I love explosions in all shapes and colors,” says one user.
