You want to find Power Armor in Fallout 76? Then you have several options. We show you seven locations in West Virginia where you can encounter Power Armor.
They are probably the icon of the Fallout series next to Vault Boy: Power Armors. There are several that are scattered throughout the world of Fallout 76.
What is Power Armor? These are armors that can protect you from the dangers of the wasteland at least partially. They can be found all over the game world, and there are several variants. More information about Power Armors and their benefits can be found in our guide.
But where can you find them? This guide presents seven places where you can obtain Power Armor.
Power Armors have it all
What exactly are Power Armors? The iconic combat suits are present in every Fallout installment and are extremely useful in combat and movement.
But they are not indestructible. A Power Armor initially consists only of a “basic skeleton” that can then be equipped with various parts. You can put on or take off these parts from the skeleton and store them in your inventory like regular equipment.
Here are the advantages of a Power Armor: With an armor, you are
- protected from radiation,
- immune to fall damage,
- can carry more
- and endure more.
You do not need armor parts for these benefits; they only enhance the effects.
These Power Armors have been found so far:
- Raider
- T-51b
- T-45
- T-60
- Excavator
- Ultracite
- X-01
Can you steal Power Armors from other players? No, no one can use your armor without permission. So you don’t have to worry if you want to leave it somewhere.
What if there is no Power Armor found at the locations? Then someone was there before you, and you will probably have to come back later. It may take a while for them to respawn.

1. Morgantown Rail Depot
At this location, you will find the Power Armor: Not far east of Vault 76 is probably the nearest Power Armor at the Morgantown Rail Depot. Keep an eye out for a train, east of the center of the depot.
The proximity to Vault 76 means that this one is found most frequently. Many players spawn in the area and take their first steps in Appalachia.
Therefore, it may be that some players in the lower level range are here. It will likely be difficult to get one there. This video shows you where to find the armor.
2. Morgantown Warehouse
At this location, you will find the Power Armor: The next Power Armor is located in a two-story warehouse in Morgantown. To the west is Mama Dolce’s Factory, which is also shown on the map.
Just walk through the house until you should encounter the armor in the back area. Here too, there is a chance that the armor is already gone since it is not far from Vault 76.
3. Aaronholdt Homestead
At this location, you will find the Power Armor: Northwest of Vault 76, you will find the Aaronholdt Homestead. Use the Ferris wheel on the map for orientation.
South of the homestead, you will find three silos with a large shed where the armor is located. However, you will need a key for this, which you can find east of the shed on a corpse. It is in a bathtub on a small hill.

4. Moundsville Penitentiary
At this location, the Power Armor is located: The Moundsville Penitentiary is located north of the Morgantown Rail Depot. A lot of super mutants await you there.
You will find the armor in a yellow building in the center of the penitentiary.
5. Watoga
At this location, you will find the Power Armor: In the southeast of the map, you will find a town called Watoga. Here, some hostile Protectrons and Mr. Handys await you, which you should deal with first.
In the neighborhood below the large tripod monument, a Power Armor awaits you. It stands in front of a building with a neon sign that says “AMS”.

6. Seneca Gang Camp
At this location, you will find the Power Armor: The camp is located east of Route 63. In the north, you can orient yourself by the observatory. The armor is located inside the barracks, which are not heavily guarded.
7. Pleasant Valley Cabins
At this location, you will find the Power Armor: You can find this location northwest of Top of the World. In this area, some super mutants and robots are roaming around. If you fight your way through, you will eventually reach a building whose interior is set up like an arena.
There in the center, you will find the Power Armors.
Can Power Armors be used indefinitely? Your Power Armors can run out of juice. To power them up, you need fusion cores. You can find these in the game world, or you can buy them from certain vendors.
If you ever run out of power, get out of the Power Armor and collect the equipped parts if you come across a charged armor.
