The huge game world of West Virginia holds many hidden treasures for the players of Fallout 76. There are corresponding treasure maps for each area in Appalachia.
In this guide, Mein-MMO shows you the 10 locations of all forest treasures, one of the first areas.
How to get treasure maps
How do you get treasure maps? There are many different ways to obtain treasure maps:
- Heavy elite enemies are supposed to occasionally drop them for you
- Even ticks and wild ghouls can have treasure maps
- Sometimes you can find them in the big chests that you may encounter in the game world

Do I need treasure maps to retrieve the treasures? Yes, you need a suitable map first. Before that, you cannot simply go to point A and get the treasure.
Is the search worth it? With a bit of luck, you will receive valuable loot. Also, your level does not matter. The loot scales with your level, so it can be worthwhile at any time. Especially beginners can find useful equipment here.
