Ultracite is one of the rarest resources in Fallout 76. It is therefore used for the best armors. We will show you how and where you can find Ultracite.
The most powerful items in Fallout 76 can be crafted with Ultracite. This includes laser and gatling weapons and mods. There is even an Ultracite power armor. We summarize where you can find Ultracite and from which scrap you can obtain the valuable resource.
Finding Ultracite – what should I consider? Since Ultracite is so important, it can only be found in dangerous locations. Prepare yourselves and equip yourselves well, because at most spots a burnbeast and other dangerous creatures await you. Due to the high radiation near Ultracite veins, you should have a power armor or enough radaway with you.
Ultracite – where should you search?
Ultracite can be mined at certain spots, as it is a type of ore. These places are called fissures and can be discovered by you on the map. Additionally, there are individual veins and scrap scattered everywhere that hold Ultracite.
If you don’t want to switch locations every time, there is an alternative called server hopping. You log in again each time, end up on a new server, and with a bit of luck, can loot everything again.
Locations in Cranberry Bog
At these locations you will find Ultracite: Some good spots can be found in Cranberry Bog. This region is more intended for endgame gameplay and is therefore filled with strong creatures that will make your life difficult.
- AMS Headquarters: The headquarters is located right in the center of Watoga. Inside, there is scrap which you can use to obtain Ultracite.
- Drop Point G3: This is a bunker located north of Watoga. Inside, you will find an Ultracite vein.
- Fissure Location 1: This spot is located in the north of Cranberry Bog and is still relatively easy to reach.
- Fissure Location 2 and 3: Both are located south of Watoga and are besieged by dangerous creatures. Mirelurks, Scorched, and Burnbeasts roam this area.
- Glassed Cavern: In the German version, it is called “Verglaste Höhle”. It is located in the far southeastern part of Appalachia. During the main story, you will inevitably end up there. To access the Ultracite, you won’t even have to defeat the boss.
Locations in the Woods
- Black Mountain Ordnance Works: This location is a former nuclear waste storage site, and thus the radiation is especially high. You will find all kinds of scrap that can be converted into Ultracite. Go straight to the security terminal, then you will find the remaining rooms.
Locations in the Southern Savage Divide and Ash Heap
- Fissure Location 1: In the boundary area between the southeastern woods and the western Savage Divide, you will find the fissure near the large lake. South of it are the Uncanny Caverns, marked on the map with a large sign.
- Fissure Location 2: This fissure is located in a small woodland area. To the east lies Watoga at the same level.
- Fissure Location 3: You will find the fissure in the southwestern corner of Ash Heap, south of the AMS Testing Site.
Locations in the Northern Savage Divide
- Fissure Location 1: This fissure is located in the northeastern corner of Savage Divide. You will find it not far from the Pumpkin House.
- Fissure Location 2: Not far from the cave in Hopewell, the fissure is almost centrally located in the northern Savage Divide region.
- Fissure Location 3: Here, the fissure lies on a rocky slope, at the border area to the swamp. On the map, you will see a marked mountain range north of the fissure.
- Red Rocket Mega Stop: In the abandoned gas station, you will find scrap that can be converted into Ultracite. The gas station is located south of the first fissure, on the only road leading into the swamp.
From these materials you can obtain Ultracite
- Hardened Mass – 1 Ultracite
- Ultracite Ore – You need to combine it with acid at a lab station to obtain Ultracite
- Ultracite Scrap – 1 Ultracite
