In Fallout 76, there is supposed to be a feature that allows players to open their own shops and sell goods. However, it does not exist yet. Some fans, however, did not want to wait any longer and have simply opened their own shops.
What are player shops? Even before the release of Fallout 76, Bethesda announced in June 2018 that players can own stores in Fallout 76. Back then, fans could not imagine much about it.
At the beginning of 2019, player shops were finally officially announced. With the first news about the big Wild Appalachia update, information about how the system is supposed to work came.
Players will be able to set up their own vending machines. They will fill these with goods and assign prices to them. Other players can then come by and purchase desired items for caps directly.
This is what players are doing: The idea is so popular that many active players are already preparing for the shops. Most fans are already collecting blueprints and other items that they can promote in their shops.
However, some do not appear to be patient enough. The user FredrowActual posted his work on reddit. He has transformed his C.A.M.P. into a store. As a trapper, he sells various goods like:
- Armor
- Chems
- Clothing
- Food
- Weapons
He named his store on Xbox One “Trapper by the Crapper,” referring to a Dixi toilet that serves as his “throne.”
Also, players from our community have already built their own bars, where they have been offering homemade beer since the alcohol update. Perhaps a beer vending machine will also appear here soon.
When will official shops be available? The date for the official player shops in Fallout 76 is set for April 9, 2019, according to a tweet from Bethesda and a roadmap.
On reddit, there are already several threads where players express their impatience and hope that nothing will interfere with the date.
