The community never forgets! That’s exactly what Bethesda is currently experiencing after presenting a new leather jacket for the survival MMO Fallout 76 on their official Twitter account.
The developers of the survival MMO Fallout 76 have showcased a new premium jacket made of real lamb leather on their official Twitter account. It is available for purchase at the Bethesda store for $276.
Here’s what happened: Back in December, Bethesda faced a lot of criticism after buyers of the expensive Power Armor Edition received simple nylon bags instead of the promised canvas variant. The community has not forgotten this incident and is now mocking Bethesda for their new product.

This is how the community reacts: Especially on Twitter, the mockery is great. Under the original tweet, responses from the community concerning the new premium jacket are piling up. The Twitter users are not relying on criticism or hatred but are responding with jokes, mockery, and funny images. Often, the jacket is simply compared to a blue trash bag.
According to the official description on the Bethesda store, a bag is included with the purchase. Twitter user Justin J fittingly asks: “Does it also come with a leather bag?” User Dank responds fittingly with a picture showing a trash bag with a 76 sticker on it. He comments: “The products have changed a bit since pre-production. But rest assured, it is the best quality that you deserve.”
The tweet is full of references to the nylon bag incident. This includes the attempt to console buyers of the Power Armor Edition at that time with 500 atoms (about five euros). Twitter user Montana Page comments: “But don’t worry, we’ll console you with 500 atoms.”
Even though Bethesda has already responded to the nylon bag issue and promised customers a canvas bag, it seems the community does not want to forget the situation. The game developers are still being teased.
What do you think about the whole situation?
