After several weeks of B.E.T.A. of Fallout 76, the game is now set to release on November 14, 2018. Bethesda has published the times when Fallout 76 will launch on 14.11. .
Fallout 76 starts at midnight: Bethesda posted on Twitter the official times when Fallout 76 launches. The launch of Fallout 76 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will occur on Wednesday morning at 0:01 AM.
Update, 13.11. at 13:40: For some reason, the servers on PS4 and PC are already online, likely on Xbox One as well. It is not known if this will remain or if it is just a glitch.
Update, 13.11. at 14:00: Servers are online on all platforms. Enjoy West Virginia! It is not yet known why Bethesda is not adhering to its own server plan.
Release of Fallout 76 – Start Time, Staggering and Preload
The servers will be relieved: The launch is almost worldwide at 0:01 AM in their respective time zones (except Pacific Standard Time in Los Angeles). This means that for most countries, the launch will be delayed by several hours.
This should significantly distribute the influx on the servers and prevent issues with logging in and overload.
Does a VPN work? In previous releases of other games, it was sometimes possible to log in via a VPN (Virtual Private Network) and simulate the location of your computer in another country.
The earliest launch time would thus be around 0:01 AM in Australia, which corresponds to 14:01 in Germany on Tuesday afternoon. Whether this will work for Fallout 76 and whether you can play Fallout 76 earlier is still unknown.
Pre-download now available: Players can also start downloading Fallout 76 now to be ready to play at the release at 0:01 AM. Hopefully, there won’t be download issues like in the B.E.T.A.
Bethesda advises that players on PS4 and Xbox One can uninstall the B.E.T.A. PC players can simply download the patch.
