Although there are no living human NPCs in Fallout 76, many factions exist in the game. You will encounter most of them on your journey through Appalachia. But which one suits you best?
These are the factions of Fallout 76: No known NPC survived the impact of the bombs and the subsequent anarchy in West Virginia. The only living people are the inhabitants of Vault 76 – you, the players.
In the remnants of the cities of Appalachia, you will still find outposts, dwellings, and posts of former factions. Most of them have left holotapes and terminal entries that tell of their history and missions:
- The Responders
- The Fire Breathers
- The Raiders
- The Steel Brotherhood
- The Enclave
- The Free States
- The Order of Mysteries
As you complete the main quest line of Fallout 76, you will encounter most of these factions. Others will only be mentioned or hide in a long and detailed side quest line.
Quiz: Which faction suits you?
In Fallout 76, it is not possible to truly join a faction exclusively. To experience the story, you become more or less a member of every faction. But in the end, there is no one to control that.
With our quiz, you can find out which of the factions suits you best. Perhaps there will soon be a possibility to choose a faction.
Don’t like the faction that came out in the quiz? Then just write your own story. Many players have already dedicated themselves to role-playing in Appalachia.
A larger group of fans has already established their own police service, the Appalachia PD. They turn their C.A.M.P.s into police stations and help new players in stylish police uniforms.
In response, others now plan to play as raiders to create more great stories.
Some players from the MeinMMO community have also been active. One of our readers is the bartender of his own pub, where he wants to offer homebrewed beer. Get started and create your own West Virginia.
