As Fallout 76 is an online game, regular content is important to keep players engaged. The developer studio Bethesda has already given a first glimpse of what fans can look forward to in the future. However, there are still no dates for the updates.

This is coming after the release: Bethesda plans new content to be released in the future, along with improvements and optimizations based on player feedback from the B.E.T.A. These things will be introduced after the extensive Day-One patch.
The new content includes:
- Faction-based PvP system
- New quests and additional events
- New vaults will be added for you to explore
- You will be able to redistribute character skills

- Support for ultra-wide resolutions
- Larger containers will increase weight capacity
- The developers are considering push-to-talk instead of the default enabled voice chat
- No FOV slider will be introduced
- The developers are addressing reported exploits
- Further adjustments and optimizations to the social menu will be made
- The issue with unmanageable hunger will be resolved
- Sound issues will be fixed
