Just before the release of Fallout 76, Bethesda launched a promotional campaign: Anyone who pre-orders Fallout 76 for PC will receive three games for free.
The origins of Fallout for free: If you pre-order Fallout 76 for PC, you will receive the “Fallout Classics Collection” for free.
This includes three of the oldest Fallout games:
- Fallout
- Fallout 2
- Fallout Tactics
However, the offer is only valid for digital pre-orders on PC.
This is how you get Fallout for free
Pre-order through Bethesda: If you want to play Fallout 76 on PC, you can already pre-order it directly from the official Bethesda website. You will need an account for Bethesda.net.
You need the account to play anyway, as Fallout 76 will only run through the “Bethesda.net Launcher” and is not available on Steam. The Classics Collection will also be credited directly to your account.
You should have access to the games at the latest when Fallout 76 is released on November 14, 2018. According to Bethesda’s announcement, the games will be credited “before or at the time of” Fallout 76’s release.
If you have already pre-ordered Fallout 76 through Bethesda, you should receive the Classics Collection according to Bethesda afterwards.
Which version should I pre-order? There are various editions with different content for Fallout 76. However, if you want the Fallout Classics Collection, it is sufficient to purchase the Standard Edition.
You can get the Standard Edition in the Bethesda shop for 59.99€.
The Beta is included: Pre-orders of Fallout 76 also grant access to the game’s beta. This will start on PC on October 30 and will offer several testing phases. If you want to play the beta, you will need to pre-order.
In the beta, you will mainly be testing the content and helping to improve it. However, you will be able to transfer all progress you make to the final game once it is released.
