In League of Legends there are many pros. Faker is probably the most famous and successful player of all time. Now he has achieved something that many champions lack.
Why is Faker such a legend? Lee Sang-hyeok, better known as Faker, has been active in the esports scene of League of Legends since 2013. He won his first Worlds title in the same year. With the championships of 2024, he has already earned his fifth title and thus has won the most Worlds.
Moreover, he was voted “Esports PC Player of the Year” in 2023 and 2024, and in the following year 2025 he was even named “Esports PC Player of the Decade.” However, he will not be able to break the record for the most consecutive Worlds appearances for a few more years.
What does Faker have that many champions lack? With each Worlds title, players receive their own skin. Additionally, there are skins for the pros if they enter the Hall of Legends, where the Chinese player Uzi is also present and brought along an expensive Kai’Sa skin.
Every champion in LoL has at least one skin, but there are a total of 62 champs that have fewer skins than Faker. With a total of 9 cool cosmetics in his wardrobe, Faker can almost host his own LoL match with his skins. He received the last one in August 2025 for the champion Yone for his victory at the Worlds 2024.
This means that Faker has more skins than a third of the total 171 champions in LoL (36%), as Reddit user Yujin-Ha noted. Although Faker does not yet make the list of the most skins, he should still have a few years before he retires.

How does Faker play his champions? Faker is known for letting the champions he plays run around completely without new cosmetics. The site lol.fandom.com even has its own trivia about it and provides interesting information.
It is said that Faker played with a skin for the champion Riven during the finals of the OGN Winter in 2014. Later, he gave some insights into his mishap: an OGN staff member checked the player accounts before the match and accidentally selected the skin, Battle Bunny Riven.
Along with Faker, there was another legendary player who chose the dark side of the Force. In 2013, the player, Apdo, became known for his exceptional skill and reaching the highest rank of LoL.
