A new trick in Pokémon GO allows you to control Evoli’s evolution!
Actually, the internet community around Pokémon GO was sure that the evolution of Evoli was random to Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon. Initially, it was assumed that the additional attacks determined which of the 3 Pokémon Evoli would evolve into. However, everything is quite different than previously thought, as Evoli seems to depend its evolution on how it is addressed.
Evoli can now also evolve into Umbreon and Espeon.
Evoli catching -> Giving nickname -> Desired evolution
In these three simple steps, you can quickly achieve the desired evolution of the little Evoli. Catching is probably still the most challenging step in this guide. In the Pokémon episode “The Unequal Brothers,” you saw the Evoli brothers, and each of them had their own evolution of the little Pokémon.
- Sparky’s evolution was Jolteon
- Rainer had a Vaporeon
- Pyro had a Flareon in this episode
The evolution of Evoli: Here’s how you can evolve the Pokémon intentionally
- Catch an Evoli
- Give it the corresponding Evoli brother name as a nickname
- Sparky = Jolteon
- Rainer = Vaporeon
- Pyro = Flareon
- Then click “OK”
- After that, you should completely close and restart your Pokémon GO app to ensure the name is saved on the servers.
- In the game, click on your Pokémon overview and select Evoli.
- If you have enough Evoli candies, you can now evolve your Evoli.
- You should now receive your desired evolution of Evoli.
Keep in mind that you can only control the intended evolutions of Evoli. Evolving into the best Pokémon is, of course, not possible. Even if you would like to have different desired Pokémon as an outcome, attempts like this have unfortunately failed:
