Evolve is launching a PR offensive before its release on February 10th, based on a version of “Ready or Not,” a hit from the late 60s that became popular again through the Fugees.
“Ready or Not, here I come”: “Ready or not, here it comes.” The phrase refers to the children’s game “Hide and Seek.”
The Fugees turned the song of the same name into a hit in 96, and now the phrase is the focus of the monster search-and-find game Evolve. In a live-action trailer, futuristic hunters and gruesome monsters engage in a game of hide and seek at night… and in another trailer, one might say: “I am a monster… and that is okay.”
If you watch such trailers and go crazy because you absolutely want to find the song exactly in that version: “Ready Or Not” by Scala & Kolacny Brothers. Scala is a Belgian choir consisting of 60 women aged between 14 and 24, and the Kolacny brothers are the founders and directors of the choir.
Evolve will be released on February 10th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In the coming days, something about the new game will probably come out every day, as is the case with major releases. You can find more about the game on our topic page.
