from the Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters probably wouldn’t have been such a big success if Ejae (Kim Eun-jae) hadn’t taken over the singing voice of protagonist Rumi. Like her character from the movie, she has also found her great love in real life.
What is the true Jinu about? In KPop Demon Hunters, romantic feelings develop over the course of the film between protagonist Rumi and her rival Jinu. For many fans, they are the ultimate dream couple, especially due to the emotional finale of the film.
The Korean singer Ejae, who lends her singing voice to Rumi, is also glad to have found her Jinu in real life. She even referred to her great love as Jinu, through whom she feels beautiful (via Reddit).
Behind the “true Jinu” is actually her fiancé, publicly known only as Sam. He has proven at several events that he truly is the missing counterpart to the real Rumi.

What does he do for his fiancée? At Heidi Klum’s infamous Halloween party, Ejae, her fiancé, and Rei Ami, the singing voice of Zoe (seen on TikTok), were also invited. While Rei Ami appeared in a costume of her character, Ejae decided to go as the tiger cat from the movie. After all, there are so many great Rumi costumes that she wanted to give the confused cat a bit more attention, as she reveals on Instagram.
Sam adapted to his fiancée’s costume wish and appeared as a raven, which acts as a duo with the cat in the film. In a video on TikTok, it can be seen how they dance and have fun together in their elaborate costumes at the Halloween party.
Another moment that shows how much he supports his fiancée was in the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. There, the singer had her first real performance. She thanked on Instagram after her performance, especially her fiancé, who had always been a rock for her and kept her sane.
Additionally, there is a video on YouTube of the two shortly after Ejae’s performance. The two fall into each other’s arms and the singer appears relieved to finally be with her partner after the performance.
The Korean singer and her partner are a really sweet couple. Other K-Pop stars, however, have not behaved as nicely.
