EVE Valkyrie puts you in the role of a mercenary under the command of the mysterious Rán. You complete contracts for the highest bidder, often revolving around revenge or profit. You frequently encounter pirate groups that you must eliminate in thrilling multiplayer space battles.

The shooter was specifically developed for virtual reality headsets. It recently appeared exclusively in a special deal time-exclusive and in a bundle with Oculus Rift, but will also be available for Playstation VR in October. Thanks to virtual reality technology, the gaming experience is significantly more intense; it feels like you are actually sitting in the cockpit of a combat ship and zooming through space.

In addition to EVE Valkyrie, the arcade shooter Gunjack has also been released for Oculus Rift, which has been playable on Samsung’s Gear VR since November 2015. In Gunjack, you take on the role of the onboard gunner of a mining ship tasked with harvesting resources in the Outer Ring. Pirate attacks occur frequently, which you must fend off. The PC version of the shooter offers a higher graphic resolution, upgraded audio, significantly better textures, models, effects, new achievements, leaderboards, and much more.
CCP Games plans to release more virtual reality titles in the future. A larger update for EVE Valkyrie is next on the agenda.
