Project Nova – Invitation-only alpha in November: CCP, the creators of EVE Online, introduced their new shooter Project Nova at EVE Vegas. The alpha for Project Nova is scheduled to start in November 2018, but it is exclusively by invitation only.
How to play the alpha
Register on the website: If you want to play the alpha of Project Nova, you just need to register for it. For that, you enter your email address on the official Project Nova website.
You will also need a bit of luck to be selected.
The alpha is a test: If you want to play the alpha of Project Nova, you should be aware beforehand that it is a test.
Even though the game looks quite good already, it is still in an early development phase. Even the name is currently just a working title. You will likely:
- encounter some bugs
- not have access to all features at all times
- and not retain your progress.
As a tester, you should inform the developers if something is wrong so that they can fix the bugs.
If you just want to play Project Nova, you should wait until the final release. However, a specific date for that is not yet known.
What is Project Nova? Project Nova is a first-person shooter in the dystopian sci-fi setting of EVE Online. You play as a combat clone against the attack of an illegal, totalitarian state that threatens to enslave the universe.
In Project Nova, you can fight this threat in cooperative PvE or engage in PvP as a mercenary. You will be presented with challenges whose rewards allow you to advance your progress and upgrade your combat suits.
Project Nova is supposed to closely interact with EVE Online. You share a universe and will even be able to interact with players from EVE Online later on.
