The space MMO EVE Online is facing competition. The small development team even goes so far as to want to eliminate all the mistakes that EVE Online made with Nebula Online.
The space MMO has been developed by only four people who have set themselves a big goal: they want to create the perfect space MMO. To achieve this, the developers have closely examined EVE Online and “copied” the elements that work well, adding additional features to make the game even more interesting.
A better EVE Online?
For example, in Nebula Online, there are three factions you can join. This is intended to elevate the PvP aspect of the game. There will be wars between the three factions, and every player will always know which side they are on. During these wars, the three parties will attempt to fight for dominance in the universe. In total, there are three types of solar systems: secure systems that cannot be taken over and are not available for PvP, race-specific systems that belong to a race but can be conquered through PvP, and neutral systems that belong to no one but can be taken over.
Ships can be customized using modules, and players are responsible for the economy in the universe. Battles are fought in real-time.
Crossplay in space
Nebula Online is now available for PC, iOS, and Android. Crossplay is supported. A version for Xbox One is currently in development. Whether this small indie game can truly compete with EVE Online is something everyone must decide for themselves. The promises are indeed grandiose, which will make it difficult for the team to meet them. On Steam, the game is currently available at a 20 percent discount.
