In the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online there are in-game events. From March 29, 2023, to April 6, 2023, the Festival of Fools awaits you. MeinMMO tells you everything about this year’s event and how to effectively get the many rewards.
When is the Festival of Fools? It starts today, March 29, 2023, at 4:00 PM CEST and runs until Tuesday, April 6, 2022, at 4:00 PM CEST.
What is the Festival of Fools? This is an event fitting for April 1st. It belongs to the events where there is also a 100% experience bonus. So if you have incomplete characters, you should take advantage of the XP bonus. The experience bonus can also be combined with potions and scrolls.
How exactly does XP farming work? You can learn more in our guide on how to earn a lot of experience (XP) in a short time.
How to participate in the Festival of Fools
If you have participated in the event in previous years, you can simply use the keepsake “Fool’s Pie” through your quick access. This grants you a 100% experience bonus for 2 hours.
Otherwise, head to one of the Fools’ pavilions in front of the capital of the starting areas (Dawn’s Watch in Stonefall, Vulkhel Watch in Auridon, or Daggerfall in Glenumbra). Speak there with a fool who has disguised himself as the leader of an alliance.
As a small help, you can receive the invitation quest for the Festival of Fools for free from the Crown Store. This will safely guide you to the Fools’ pavilion.

- Mystical Sheet Music
- All three fragments for The Muse of Devotion (Personality):

If you still have event tokens left, you can of course use them for anything else. Because who doesn’t know it, sometimes that one item just won’t drop.
How to get many rewards until the event ends
Do as many daily quests for the Festival of Fools as possible
To get as many rewards as possible, you should ideally complete all daily quests. You can also do the same quests with all other characters on the same day. However, do not expect much variety.
As an achievement hunter, you probably won’t get around this. Because you will also have to do activities multiple times for achievements related to the event. However, there are also some achievements that take place outside of daily quests.
So take a look through your records to see what’s still missing. But remember, ESO now has account-wide achievements.
Complete the daily event quests with your friends and guild members
The quests are simply more fun in a group, and you will of course also receive useful tips from other players or can fight through achievements together.
Additionally, you can share these daily quests within your group and thus complete them together in the same order.
Trade items with your community, friends, or guild
You will probably receive one or two rewards multiple times. But that’s not a problem, because you can easily trade with other players.
