Why is ESO giving away 500 crowns? 2018 was a successful year for The Elder Scrolls Online. The MMO received a total of four awards.
- ESO won in the two categories “Best MMO” and “Most Improved MMO” from MMORPG.com.
- Additionally, ESO secured the award for “Best MMO Update or Best Expansion” from Massively Overpowered with the Summerset chapter.
- Finally, The Elder Scrolls Online won the Game Informer Reader’s Choice Award 2018.
The developers at Zenimax want to thank the fans for their loyalty and are therefore gifting almost all players 500 crowns.
500 Crowns for Almost Everyone
Here’s how to get the 500 crowns: You don’t have to do anything to benefit from the developers’ gift. As long as you logged in between January 1, 2017, and February 7, 2019, you are eligible.
The crowns will be credited to players on PC on February 11, 2019, and to players on consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 13.
What are crowns? Crowns are the premium currency in The Elder Scrolls Online. Crowns can be purchased with real money and exchanged for special items or player expansions in the Crown Store.
