Look forward to these new features
The Closed Beta of Escape from Tarkov will bring several new features compared to the Alpha. These include:
● Insurance – For a small amount of in-game currency, you can insure weapons and equipment. This increases the chance of not losing them.
● Loot and Trade – With the Closed Beta, the new dealer Peacemaker is introduced along with more loot, medicine, and many other items that you can buy, sell, and trade. The economy system has also been improved, allowing you to trade items in marketplaces. Loot drops depend on their popularity and rarity within the economy cycle.
● Weapons – With new weapon elements and ammunition for customizing your gear, as well as the introduction of the submachine gun MP5, you’ll have even more options to personalize your arsenal.
● Locations – A total of four different maps are available: Customs, Woods, Factory, and Shoreline. These differ in size and terrain type. The Shoreline map is the newest and largest map in the game.
● General Chat – Chat channels available to all players. Through these, you can exchange useful information or arrange raids.
The developers at Battlestate have also updated the game to the latest version of the Unity engine. As a result, Escape from Tarkov now fully utilizes DirectX11 and many other optimizations.
