Escape from Tarkov: The summer will be hot! Alpha test announced

Many fans of the MMO shooter Escape from Tarkov have been waiting for this: It is finally confirmed when the Alpha begins.

Those interested in the action-packed hardcore battles of Escape from Tarkov should make no plans for this August. Because in the first week of August, the long-awaited Alpha of the online game will start. The exact day is August 4. Until the Alpha begins, many new features will still be integrated and optimizations made.

Escape from Tarkov: Finally, the Alpha is coming!

The Alpha test is meant to improve and balance the game. Here, the feedback from the test participants is essential. There is a clear idea of how the Alpha test should proceed and what exactly to showcase and test. In the Alpha, players will see the framework of the game, the basis upon which the rest is built.

Escape from Tarkov is aimed at hardcore players, but intends to make the hardcore elements so interesting and fun that everyone wants to try them. Hardcore does not only mean that one can bleed out from a single hit or that every weapon and the entire ballistics are realistically represented in the game. Hardcore also means that PvP is possible anytime and anywhere. For example, when on the way to a raid, there might be a group of other players lying in wait, and one has to fight through to the raid meeting point.

No HUD

Hardcore also means that there will be no HUD elements. You won’t see if you have dealt 1267 points of damage to the opponent, you won’t know how many HP a foe has left, and you also won’t see directly how many hits you can take. There is no minimap and no radar indicating where to go next. All this must be “felt”; you have to respond to movements and sounds like in real life, which is meant to create a new gameplay sensation. Additionally, you will improve your character through a comprehensive skill tree.

A release date for Escape from Tarkov has not yet been announced. However, if you want to be part of the Alpha in early August, you can pre-order one of the versions which includes access to the Alpha.
