Starting this Sunday, July 14, the big Entei Day will kick off in Pokémon GO. We will show you everything about counters, Shinies, and the perfect CP of Entei.
This is Entei Day: Players were busy during the GO Fest in Dortmund and completed the global challenge worldwide. As a reward, there is now the Entei Day.
There, an Entei will appear in almost all gyms for 3 hours, and you can encounter it for the first time as a Shiny. We will give you an overview of all the details.
Raid Day with Entei in July – All info about the bonuses
When: On Sunday, July 14, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM CEST
Pokémon of the Day: Entei
Bonus: Shiny Entei is making its debut in the game
Bonus: 5 free raid passes are available
Bonus: All raids yield double XP
This is how the Raid Day works: At 4 PM, a legendary raid featuring Entei will appear at each gym. This will last for 3 hours and end at 7 PM.
Exempt from this event are gyms that have recently distributed EX raid invitations. They will not have an Entei raid.
Shiny Entei during the Raid Day
Is Shiny Entei coming? The legendary Fire Pokémon will also be available in its shiny version. You should take the opportunity, as there will likely be no Entei raid for a while after this.
What are the chances of a Shiny? During the Raikou Day, the probability was 1 in 10. Thus, theoretically, you would need to complete 10 raids to obtain a Shiny.
How to do many raids and make the most of the event
So worthwhile are many raids: You will likely never have such a good chance of Shiny Entei again. You should take advantage of this and cover as many raids as possible.
Additionally, there will be double experience points during raids. You can level up particularly quickly here.
Use these 5 tips: We will now show you 5 tips on how to raid particularly quickly. 30 raids or more are feasible this way.
- Stay in an area with many gyms
- If you want to do many raids, you also need many gyms. So, if necessary, go to a larger city to have as many gyms as possible in one spot.
- Plan a route
- Design a good route where you can reach many gyms in a short time. Which gyms are easy to reach? What can be combined with other gyms? You can then follow this route during the event.
- Keep moving even in battles
- If you are in a battle, meaning you no longer have to wait 2 minutes in the lobby, you can already move away from the gym. Just don’t change your team during the battle. So start walking to the next raid while battling.
- Throw quickly and not well
- If you want to be fast, you cannot afford to focus on good throws. Just throw the balls quickly. Only if you have a good Entei should you take your time.
- Small groups are faster
- A small group of players is significantly faster. There are fewer players to consider, so you can move on quickly. A team of 5-7 players is ideal.
Use these counters against Entei
These types are good: Entei is a Fire type, so it is vulnerable to Rock, Water, and Ground types. So use Pokémon of these types.
Therefore, the best counters against Entei are:
- Rameidon with Rock Wrecker and Stone Edge
- Kyogre with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge
- Feraligatr with Waterfall and Hydro Cannon
- Gyaraados with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
- Rhydon with Rock Wrecker and Stone Edge
How many people do you need for Entei? The Fire Pokémon can be defeated by just two players. However, we recommend at least 4 trainers for a quicker battle.
Entei with 100% IV – Which CP are good?
This is how strong Entei will be in the raid: Entei can reach a maximum of 1984 CP in the raid. This would be an example with 100% IV. With the weather bonus, it can even reach 2480 CP.
The closer Entei comes to these CP, the better its IV will be.
Use these items on Entei Day
- Lucky Egg – 3 pieces
- If you complete 30 raids, you can earn over 1 million XP with a Lucky Egg. Currently, the eggs last for one hour, so you only need 3.
- GO Plus
- While you are in a raid, you cannot catch Pokémon. So make use of a GO Plus. This way, you can still catch numerous Pokémon with the press of a button while raiding.
