The developers of Enshrouded guide you through the first steps of the cooperative survival RPG in a new gameplay insight, presenting a beautiful mix of survival, combat, and exploration. Players are especially excited about this variety of familiar mechanics.
What is there to see? In this insight, the first steps necessary to secure your survival will be shown. You start your journey without any equipment and resources. Your first task is to build an “Altar of Flames,” from which you will establish your base.
Otherwise, the first steps seem very familiar from other survival games: collecting stones, gathering wood, and crafting basic weapons to defend against wild animals.
Once your base is established, which you built yourself, and you are equipped for exploration, your next task is to find the blacksmith. This will help you improve your equipment and utilize your resources better, allowing you to enhance your base according to your vision.
From here, the part that sets it apart from other survival games begins. Your path takes you through an area covered by a dangerous fog. Theoretically, the game gives you exactly 5 minutes to escape the fog, which you can replenish with potions and devices. You just have to find these during your exploration.
But in the fog, you will also find monsters that you must confront in battle. Defeat the monsters with various weapons such as swords, bows, and magical staffs. You do not have to commit to any specific weapon.
Through your skill tree, you can develop your own playstyle and prepare for battles by customizing your abilities.
Once you have defeated your enemies, you will receive special weapons to defeat the cause of the fog. At least for a while, as future players of your party will have the opportunity to explore the various areas just as you did.
