The space online game Dreadnought has been in early access on PC since May, and the open beta on PS4 has been running since August – but both are only available in English. Until now.
Dreadnought is an online game developed by the German studio Yager. One would actually expect that a German localization would be available from the start. But no such luck. Dreadnought was only released in English. The relatively small development team wanted to focus on the international market and provide a German translation later.
German texts and voice output
Now the time has come: all fans who have been waiting to play the space game because they may not be proficient in English can finally start. With an update, German texts and even a German voice output are now available. This should make it easier to dive into the tactical space battles.
Other new features included in the update
The update, however, brings additional new features. This includes the new map Amirani, which revolves around a research station near a supervolcano on the Jupiter moon Io. Also new are:
- A new reward system for battles has been introduced. The maintenance system has been replaced by a new cooldown system. Players can actively influence this based on their in-game performance.
- Improved matchmaking
- The tutorial has been revised and allows newcomers to Dreadnought an easier entry into the game
- With “Tunmen” and “Hanuman,” two new hero ships make their way into the game
The developers of the online game Dreadnought hope that German players are satisfied with the localization, which required a lot of work.
