Neverwinter – Back to Neverwinter with the “Cloaked Ascendancy”
The action-packed D&D MMORPG Neverwinter regularly receives new updates and add-ons. After previously battling the ice giants of the far north in several episodes and even turning the icy sea into a playground for adventures, on February 21, you will return to the namesake city of Neverwinter with the new module “The Cloaked Ascendancy“.
Never a moment’s rest!
The frost giants and their cruel jarl are finally done for, and your heroes can set off for the journey home from the icy north. Finally, it’s back to the warm Neverwinter, where hot springs have provided cozy warmth for centuries despite the surrounding northern lands.
The reason for the return, however, is not exactly joyful, as it is time to lay an old friend to rest. But even the sorrow is not granted, as the rogue “Gyrion the Ascendant” has conspired with the mages of the Mantle Tower and wants to seize power in the city!
Neverwinter completely new
To overthrow Gyrion and thwart his plans, you will find yourself in a completely new district of Neverwinter. The “River District” once belonged – before the great “Wizard Plague” devastated it – to the top locations in the area. Essentially, the hipster neighborhood of Neverwinter. Now the district lies in ruins, but thanks to Lord Neverember’s efforts, it should soon shine again in its former glory.
Thus, alongside the fights against the vile mages, there are also some side quests for the reconstruction of the River District. In addition to the new adventures in the River District, the new update also allows you to explore the old instance “Wizard Plague Caves” in a new, revised version. New monsters and bosses will appear there. Furthermore, there is a master difficulty level and better loot.
