Frontier Developments has released a new update 2.2.03 for the space online game Elite: Dangerous on PC and Xbox One, which brings a lot of changes, including to Powerplay.
In addition to numerous adjustments to balancing and other game elements, the developers have also focused on Powerplay this time. This is a faction system in which a constant power struggle between the parties takes place for control of the galaxy. You choose a faction, called Power in the game, and ensure that it gains as much power as possible.

The adjustments that have now been introduced for Powerplay with the current update include, among other things, pirates who must now also belong to a faction. Mergers are also now possible. Shield Boosters Stay
Regarding the controversial feature of shield stacking and changes to armor, the developers explain that this has been a test from the beginning. Since the majority of the community has reacted positively, they want to keep the feature and further develop and adjust it in the future.
Meanwhile, players are searching for the mysterious aliens that occasionally appear in the galaxy, pulling players out of hyperspace and scanning ships. There is wild speculation about what might be planned for these aliens in the online game Elite: Dangerous in the future.
