Finally, fans of The Elder Scrolls get new content, as the open beta of the online card game The Elder Scrolls Legends has started! And the download is free!
Oh, another TGC? The Elder Scrolls Legends aims to do things differently and not just be a Hearthstone in Tamriel. This can be seen in some streams from Let’s Players who have been eagerly showing how they play The Elder Scrolls Legends since the NDA was lifted. And now you can also dive into the tactical card battles, as the open beta has started – and anyone can play!
New Tactical Opportunities
The card game offers you not one, as known from other TGCs, but two rows of playing fields. This allows you completely new strategies, as for example you can bypass threats on the first row through clever tactics on the second row and defeat the enemy with a quick trick. However, this also means that you must always keep an eye on both rows and react quickly. The two rows also play an important role in the story mode and PvE battles. For example, it is possible to connect support cards with row effects to protect your important cards from attacks.
This is not Hearthstone
In addition, you use powerful runes to gain an advantage, as these strengthen the cards. Additionally, there are prophecies. If you draw such a card, you can still turn the tide and achieve victory even with “bad cards.” When assembling your card deck, you should therefore consider including prophecies and combining the attributes well. For example, agility supports thief cards and thus increases speed on the playing field. So you need to keep many tactical things in mind. This way, you can gradually climb the rankings.
But just try it out yourself and download the open beta of The Elder Scrolls Legends via the Bethesda Launcher! The download is free.
