In Pokémon GO the Easter event has been announced! It’s all about eggs. A new shiny will be released.
When does the event run? The event starts on April 16 at 10 PM and runs until April 23 at 10 PM.
This is what the event includes: During the event week, there will likely be different Pokémon hatching from eggs, and Shiny Haspiror will be available for the first time.
This is the Egg Spectacle 2019
These are the bonuses: In this event, there are many bonuses, especially many extras related to eggs. So, there are:
- Double candies for hatching eggs
- Incubators hatch twice as fast
- Lucky Eggs last an hour instead of 30 minutes
- Shiny Haspiror is coming to the game
- Other Pokémon may hatch from eggs
- Pokémon like Pichu, Magby, and Kussilla can be found in 2 km eggs
- Field research related to eggs will be active during the event
This is what we know about the shiny: With Shiny Haspiror, a sparkling rabbit, fitting for Easter, comes to the game. It remains to be seen whether this Pokémon can be frequently found in the wild, or if the best chance is from eggs.
That’s why you should go hatching: In this event, you have the best chances at shiny babies since some of them apparently come from 2 km eggs.
Thanks to the event, you only need to walk one kilometer and could possibly hatch shiny babies. These shinys are particularly rare, as you can only get baby Pokémon from eggs and cannot catch them in the wild.
How the egg pool is changing otherwise is not known. However, if rare Pokémon are introduced into the egg pool, it will be worth walking several kilometers.
This is what we know about the egg quests: Not much is known about that yet. There are already some field research related to eggs in the game, where you can obtain, for example, Chansey or Snubbull.
During the event, there could be more of these quests, and they could appear more frequently.
The egg pool has changed a bit already. At least some players say that:
