Echo of Soul gets a new publisher. Development continues, but will we see new content?
Publisher of Black Desert takes over Echo of Soul
While we can play Echo of Soul for free on the gaming platform Steam, the situation in the game’s home country, Korea, has looked bleak. The former publisher of the game, Hangame, has withdrawn from the PC games market to focus more on the mobile market – they wanted to drop Echo of Soul. A few days ago, the developer of EoS, Npicsoft, announced that they had signed a new contract with the publisher Nzin Corporation.
Nzin Corporation later announced that they would resume the operation of Echo of Soul later this year. If “Nzin” sounds familiar, you’re not mistaken: in Korea, the publisher is responsible for major games like Black Desert.
Whether the resumption of development also means that there will be new content remains to be seen – whether this will ever come to Europe is a completely different matter. At least it is a positive sign of life for all fans.
