This is how you unlock the transfer market in the game: If you are playing EA FC 26 for the first time, you need to complete 4 basic tasks. You can find these by following this path: Ultimate Team → UT Tasks.
Here are the objectives you must complete in this exact order. Completing one objective unlocks the next until you unlock the transfer market:
- New Beginnings
- Diversity
- Getting Started
- On the Way
How do I complete and find New Beginnings? To complete New Beginnings, you need to play 5 ground passes and take a shot on goal once. Additionally, you must complete the challenge “Football 101”, which you can find in the “Basics” menu. This consists of a tutorial with a total of 7 tasks. Once you have completed them, you can start the task “Diversity” under Ultimate Team → UT Tasks.
I have completed all objectives, but cannot access the market? If you have completed all objectives, it can take up to 48 hours on PC before you can fully access the transfer market, and up to 24 hours on consoles. However, you can view the listings immediately after completing the objectives, but you cannot bid or buy yet.

Transfer Market in WebApp and Companion App – when does it unlock?
If you do not receive automatic access in the apps as soon as you do in the game, it may take a bit longer. How long it takes to gain access depends on the following factors:
- Your account history – if you have violated the terms of service in the past, your access may be delayed
- Number of Ultimate Team accounts you are using on the same device – here it may take 4 days or longer depending on the number of accounts
- Number of active days on which you played Ultimate Team
- An active day is counted when you complete 3 full Ultimate Team matches within a calendar day with an Ultimate Team account and log in to the WebApp or Companion App.
- Playing more than 3 matches does not increase the chances of unlocking
Once your access has been unlocked, you will receive a notification to your Ultimate Team account.
What if you still do not receive access? If you still do not receive access after about a week, it is possible that your account has been banned from the transfer market. In such cases, you should have received an email explaining the reason. You can contest this if you believe it is a mistake. This can also happen if your account has been hacked.
