What score does EA FC 25 achieve? EA FC 26 officially released on September 26, 2025, and has achieved a score of 82 out of 100 possible points on Metacritic based on 25 reviews so far (as of September 26, 2025, 1:00 PM).

Innovations lead to new shine – but not quite yet
How have critics rated on Metacritic? On Metacritic, this year’s EA FC 26 has a score of 82/100. It consists of about 88% positive (22 reviews), 12% mixed voices (3 reviews), and no outright negative feedback for the new football game.
Both the PS5 version (27 reviews) and the Xbox Series version (9 reviews) also each received 82 points, while the PC version (5 reviews) falls slightly behind with 80 points, as some experienced performance issues.
What do players like about EA FC 26? Many praise the (albeit minor) innovations and changes, as they cater to both casual and hardcore players, making the game more accessible for them. Many voices also commend the balance between the authentic offline mode and the competitive online options.
These two gameplay options also seem to be the highlight of this year’s installment, offering something for every type of player and preference. The changes to the Weekend League are also positively mentioned, as they now provide players with less time an easier way to participate.
What criticisms exist at the moment? Currently, there are no really negative opinions. The few mixed reviews criticize, among other things, the performance on PC, which seems to be causing some frustration. Others found the even more authentic approach of the offline mode to be too tricky and inaccessible.
Monetization, as in previous years, is regarded by some critics as a negative point. Some assess the system as having a pay-to-win aspect. Other voices are generally satisfied with the game but perceive the innovations as too few and uninspired.
