What is the Weekend League in EA FC? The Weekend League, also known as Champions Finals, is the most competitive mode with the best rewards in EA FC. During the week, you can qualify for the Weekend League by successfully completing the Champions Playoffs.
In FC 24, the Weekend League worked on the following system:
- every season you had 8 attempts to participate in the Weekend League through the Playoffs
- Qualification for the Weekend League through the Playoffs: 4 wins from 10 games
- Weekend League: 20 matches for as many wins as possible to reach new ranks with better rewards
- Rewards depend on rank: guaranteed event player upgrades, upgrade professional packs, and player picks (with minimum rating), other packs, coins, and experience points for the Season Pass
- Scoring system for ranks: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a loss
EA announced the Pitch Notes for a major launch update for Ultimate Team in FC 25 on the official website. This results in some significant innovations for the Weekend League in FC 25.

Number of Matches
What changes are made regarding the number of matches? You now have fewer matches available for both the playoffs and the Weekend League. However, you get more attempts.
- every season you have 18 attempts to qualify for the Weekend League in the Playoffs
- Playoffs: 5 matches to reach 3 wins and qualify for the finals
- Weekend League: 15 matches to achieve as many wins as possible for better ranks and rewards
New Rewards
How will the rewards for the Weekend League change in FC 25? In general, for participating in the Weekend League in FC 25, you will receive better rewards than in FC 24. EA clarifies this in the Pitch Notes, using the first rank in the Weekend League as an example. (via ea.com)

New Scoring System for Ranks
How does the new scoring system for ranks work? The 3-point system for the Weekend League from FC 24 is replaced by a new system. For a win in the Weekend League, you get one point, and for a loss, you get no points.
