The release of EA FC 25 is approaching – at least for some editions. How do you start playing first?
When can you play EA FC 25? The EA FC 25 release is staggered by editions. While some can start as early as tomorrow, others will have to wait a week for their release.
All EA FC 25 release dates and times: The timings are as follows.
- Early Access with Ultimate Edition: September 20 at 00:00 (on console)
- For PC: September 20 at 06:00
- EA Play Trial: September 20 at 00:00 (on PlayStation and Xbox), limited to 10 hours
- Standard Edition: September 27 at 00:00 (on console)
- For PC: September 20 at 06:00

These are the currently known times. However, there is also the so-called New Zealand trick, which allows you to play earlier at least on Xbox.
Play EA FC 25 earlier with the New Zealand trick
What is the New Zealand trick? If you pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition on an Xbox console, you can try to get into the game earlier. To do this, you need to change the time zone.
- Go to Xbox settings
- Select Language and Location
- Change the location to New Zealand
Since New Zealand is in a time zone ahead of us, you can theoretically play up to 11 hours earlier – that is, on September 19 at 13:00. Once the correct time is reached here, you can switch back.
In the past, this trick worked for FIFA or EA FC titles. It is assumed that it will be successful this year as well.
By the way: Today the companion app for FC 25 also starts.
What about other platforms? On PC and PlayStation consoles, this is not expected to work, as the PC launch takes place globally at the same time and PlayStation requires a new user account to change the time zone. Thus, you could not use your progress in time. However, if you want to start getting into the game, you can start with the web app for EA FC 25.
