During a tournament for EA FC 25, a verbal confrontation occurred after a match between two content creators. The loser disagreed with the playstyle of his opponent and accused him of having lost his composure.
Which streamers are arguing? The confrontation took place between Mert “Mert Abi” Ekşi and Mert “Maus Abi” Türkoglu.
Both were participants in the new edition of the Eligella Cup for FC 25, which is hosted by the well-known streamer and influencer EliasN97. In this cup, the winner can take home a prize of €1,500.
They met in the preliminary round of the tournament with their teams from the popular Ultimate Team mode.
This is how the match between the two streamers unfolded: Maus took an early lead of 1-0. However, as the game progressed, Mert started to dominate the gameplay and created several good opportunities for an equalizer.
Then the events unfolded rapidly. In the 67th minute, Mert equalized from a corner, before Maus regained the lead two minutes later.
After that, Mert had hardly any chances to score. In the final minutes of the match, Maus managed his lead by repeatedly passing the ball back to his defender or goalkeeper without taking much risk.
In football and in EA FC, this is often referred to as time-wasting. And this can be very frustrating for an opponent and provoke them severely.
How did the argument start? Shortly after the final whistle, both players met in the voice chat. Mert accused Maus of having only won by luck. Even worse, he claimed, was that he needed to resort to time-wasting tactics.

Moreover, he accuses Maus of having lost his composure. He cannot look him in the eyes at their next meeting.
