5 Tips for the Perfect Start in Ultimate Team
Play Squad Battles for Initial Good Rewards
What is the motto at the beginning of FUT to build a strong starter team: Collect packs. And you should really take advantage of all opportunities. This includes Squad Battles, a mode that many players find incredibly boring because you play against the CPU rather than against real people.
But the rewards from Squad Battles are definitely worth it. Especially at the beginning of Ultimate Team. Just grind the Squad Battles until you can no longer play and preferably at a difficulty level that is a bit higher. This way, you will rank up faster and receive better rewards.

Earn Packs and Players in the Objectives
In Ultimate Team, hidden under the menu item “Objectives” are tasks that allow you to earn packs and even strong cards. For example, you may be required to play certain modes, score specific goals, and so on.
Check the objectives regularly and especially focus on completing the tasks at the beginning that reward you with packs. With a bit of luck, you might pull strong cards from these packs.
Exchange Your Excess Players in Squad Building Challenges
If you simply don’t pull any good players from the packs you earn, then it’s best to stick them in what’s called SBCs (Squad Building Challenges). These are tasks where you can exchange your cards for rewards.
Especially SBCs that offer you strong special cards are useful here to build your team strategically and not have to rely on pack luck.
Maximize Your Team Chemistry
Basically, you can equip your team with the cards you like to play with the most. However, if you want to get the most out of your team, you should ensure that the players are at full or at least high team chemistry.
Each player can gather up to three chemistry points. The chemistry of a card is influenced by the following factors:
- Nationality
- League
- Club
High team chemistry is worthwhile: If your teammates work well together, they receive an extra boost to their attributes.
Use EVOs Early to Turn Weak Cards into Strong Ones
What are EVOs in EA FC 25? A feature that was newly introduced in EA FC 24 is the so-called “Evolutions” or “EVOs” for short. This mechanic is also available again in EA FC 25.
It allows you to improve and develop your cards, making them stronger, giving them better ratings as well as new play styles and player roles.
For this to work, you need to complete various tasks with your desired card. Once you’ve done that, you will receive a new, upgraded Evo card. But be careful. Tradeable cards become untradeable when you put them into Evolutions. This is something that the Twitch streamer Tisi Schubech painfully learned.
