What does the shooting stat in FC 25 mean? The shooting stat primarily indicates how well a player can shoot the ball on target. However, shooting in EA FC involves more than just this, as it consists of the following values:
- Positioning: how well a player moves into goal-threatening areas
- Finishing: how accurate the shots taken by a player in the penalty area are
- Shooting power: how much power the shots taken by a player pack
- Long shots: how accurate the shots taken by a player outside the penalty area are
- Volleys: how accurate the shots taken directly from the air by a player are
- Penalties: how accurate the penalties taken by a player are
For a striker, the values that are particularly important in the game are positioning, finishing, shooting power, and volley. A forward must position themselves correctly in the penalty area (positioning) to place the ball accurately (finishing), even from the air (volleys), and with a lot of power (shooting power) into the opponent’s goal.
What else is important for shooting in EA FC? Since the introduction of playstyles in FC 24, the “Finessed Shot” (R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox) has proven to be the most dangerous shooting playstyle. If your players master this playstyle in silver or gold, they can curl the ball into the goal with a lot of effect. This causes the ball to curve around the goalkeeper.
