An English Twitch streamer completed the Player of the Month SBC for Kylian Mbappe, only to shortly after pull an even better version of the Frenchman in FC 24. However, the pack from the Ultimate Team shop had another surprise in store, turning the few minutes into an emotional rollercoaster.
This is the situation:
- Kylian Mbappe received a POTM (Player of the Month) card with improved stats due to his outstanding performances in the French Ligue 1. The special version has been available since November 22 in FC 24 Ultimate Team.
- The content creator RubanACR completed the SBC for the PSG star, which is the most expensive one of the year at around 3.85 million, live on Twitch.
- Shortly after, the Englishman opened a promo pack from the shop and was horrified to pull an untradeable Trailblazer version of Kylian Mbappe, which is even slightly stronger due to the better playstyle. This rendered the nearly four million coins previously invested obsolete.
Ruban could hardly believe what happened and humorously recapped the “Mbappe incident” on platform X in a short clip. The video quickly gained attention and became a viral hit within the FC 24 community.
Streamer pleads before opening: Just no second Mbappe
How did the opening go? The video showcases even more facets of the already incredible event due to probabilities, making the situation even more absurd.
On one hand, the content creator was already thinking about the consequences of a possible second Mbappe before opening the pack. In fact, he even prayed to EA Sports not to send him a second Mbappe. Instead, he hoped for a Trailblazer Ronaldo.
The pack itself seemed to want to heighten the tension further. Based on the large preview board, it could be guessed that both a Trailblazer and a PSG card would be included – or in the case of Mbappe Trailblazer, perhaps both together.
But instead of showing the French superstar, the pack revealed the Thunderstruck promo card of the player Katoto, who is under contract with PSG Female.
With the words “Oh my God, oh my God, I just had a heart attack”, Ruban initially commented on his relief, only to then be caught by reality. Because shortly after, Mbappe also strolled across the screen.
The emotional rollercoaster had reached its peak, and the four million coins seemed completely wasted.
