At E3 2019, a gameplay trailer for Scavengers was unexpectedly shown. In this game, it will be competitive for you and your co-op partners. The survival game relies on an ambitious concept. The team is aiming for a 2020 release on PC and consoles, with speculation that it will be PS4 and Xbox One.
What’s new? Today, on June 9, 2019, the early gameplay trailer for Scavengers was released. You can watch it in the YouTube video here.
The game comes from the creators at Midwinter Entertainment.
The playtests for Scavengers will start later this year. The team hopes for a release in 2020.
What is Scavengers? The developers describe the game as a competitive multiplayer that meets cooperative gameplay.
In Scavengers, you crash on Earth. Your task is to survive. Team up with other players and work together.
Features include:
- Co-op
- PvP
- Survival with resource gathering
A typical round of Scavengers is expected to last about 45 minutes. The areas change in each session and are randomly generated. Scavengers is a bit Halo and a bit survival.

What’s special about Scavengers? The unique gimmick is said to be the ability to switch between “combat” and “cooperation.” When encountering a group, you must decide whether to collaborate with them to achieve the common goal or engage in combat for survival.
The world is dangerous. There are not only enemy players, but also strange creatures and a hostile environment lurking.
It is therefore a survival game, albeit with a somewhat different approach than most other games in the category.

What was known about the game so far? So far, Scavengers has been a topic mainly on MeinMMO because of its similarities to Destiny in aesthetics.
Additionally, Scavengers relies on the “Spatial-OS” technology, which promises great advances in the design of online worlds. With SpatialOS, relatively small teams are expected to be able to create large virtual worlds.
