What exactly will be released on September 9, 2025? Today, all fans of Dune: Awakening can look forward to 2 different content packages:
- The paid DLC “Lost Harvest” (in German: “Die verlorene Ernte”).
- A free update introducing Chapter 2, bringing new features for all players.
What content can I play from today without additional costs if I own Dune: Awakening? The complete patch notes are not live yet, but we already know which highlights are expected in the free update:
- Continuation of the main story of Dune: Awakening with Chapter 2
- A new option allowing you to later customize your characters’ appearance (the service costs Solari)
- New dynamic events in the Hagga Basin
- New contracts in the capitals (Social Hubs)
- New layouts for the Deep Desert
- New archetype gear sets for all classes
- New hairstyles and tattoos
- Comfort improvements like the ability to name storage boxes and vehicles

Which new content do I need to purchase the DLC “Lost Harvest” for? The first real content DLC for Dune: Awakening includes the following content:
- A new side quest series
- 3 new Imperial test stations that you can explore
- The new vehicle “The Treadwheel”
- New building parts and decorations for your bases
- The Thumper emote
- 4 cosmetic weapon skins, 2 cosmetic armor skins
Season Pass or Individual Purchase?
How much does the DLC “Lost Harvest” cost? You can purchase the DLC individually for $12.99 (the Euro price is not yet set, but it will likely be similar to the dollar price), or you can get the Season Pass for Dune: Awakening, which includes all 4 announced DLCs and costs 24.99 Euros. The Season Pass for Dune: Awakening is also part of the more expensive Deluxe or Ultimate versions of the survival MMO.
The DLC “Wildlife of Arrakis” was already released in June, but it only came with a few animal statues. After Lost Harvest, the two content DLCs “Raiders of the Broken Lands” and “The Water Wars” are planned for release in 2026.
If you want to try out the contents of the free update without buying Dune: Awakening right away, you can soon do so.
