Dual Universe will Minecraft mit Star Citizen mixen

The sandbox MMO Dual Universe is currently attracting the interest of many MMO gamers.

A sandbox should provide players with plenty of freedom. It should be large, and you should be able to do whatever you want. This is exactly what the science fiction MMORPG Dual Universe could offer players. There are several planets to explore, and it is possible to mine resources everywhere and, for example, build structures. 

Building and Fighting

Once you have collected enough resources, you can simply build a house from individual elements. Perhaps another player builds one next to yours, and then another, so that over time a real city develops. Additionally, it is possible to design and create your own spaceships. Or you can construct a massive space station in space. Essentially, there are no limits. All of this strongly resembles Minecraft, and you could also describe Dual Universe as a mix between Minecraft and Star Citizen.

You trade with other players, transport goods and resources with your ships from point A to point B, engage in fierce space battles, try to conquer cities or space stations, and can even take control of entire sectors, thus becoming the ruler of an empire. However, unlike Star Citizen, you do not buy ships or stations designed by the developers, but build them entirely yourself – or have them built by other players.

No loading times!

All of this takes place seamlessly in a huge game universe that has no loading times. You can fly seamlessly from space to a planet, land there, get out, and walk around. As can be seen in the new trailer, this works very smoothly already. Those who want to try it themselves will have to wait until January 2017. Then the first alpha of the MMORPG is supposed to start.
