One might have expected a somewhat larger announcement and a beta phase, but Gamigo has surprisingly launched the reboot of Dragon’s Prophet, Savage Hunt, today.
Savage Hunt for PC represents a type of reboot of the MMORPG Dragon’s Prophet, focusing on collecting over 600 dragons. This takes place through a collection album, in which your already found and tamed drakes are listed. All dragons in the game can be collected right from the start. Additionally, you will complete more than 4,000 quests, fight against numerous monsters, and explore a vast world.
By training your dragons in specific directions, you gain specializations that benefit you in tasks and enable you to form teams for participating in cross-server guild wars.

Launch without major advance notice or beta
Apart from the short announcement with some screenshots, there have been no further details about the game so far. The official website also only offered a teaser with “Coming Soon” until now. However, Savage Hunt surprisingly released today, December 6, – and this without major advance notice or a beta phase. Community Manager Ildruin recently informed about the launch in the official forum and surprised the community. Because they did not expect that the release would happen out of the blue.

A curious launch for an MMORPG
The official announcement was made via a press release from Gamigo after the client for the game had already been linked in the forum. However, it had not been unlocked until now, which is why players reported crashes during installation. But now everything should work.
The whole situation is somewhat curious and unusual for the launch of an MMORPG. One would have expected at least a beta phase, as is common with other genre representatives. The announcement of Savage Hunt left some questions open.
On the official website of Savage Hunt you can now sign up regularly and create a free account for the free-to-play MMORPG.
