From the Genkidama to the Ultra Instinct – there are many techniques that Son-Goku can only use through his masters. We rank the six strongest masters from Dragon Ball in a power ranking.
Son-Goku has mastered many techniques over the years. To become stronger, he not only created his own training plan but also sought the teachings of experienced fighters.
They have made an important contribution to teaching Son-Goku powerful techniques. However, some of the masters are no longer skilled fighters themselves but rather pass on the knowledge they have acquired. MeinMMO has created a ranking of the coolest masters from Dragon Ball who trained Son-Goku. We organized the teachers by their strength.
Rank 5: Mr. Popo and God

- First appearance: Dragon Ball, Episode 124 + 125
- Techniques they taught: Detecting Ki and handling it
God lives in his palace together with his helper Mr. Popo. After God split off his evil side in the form of King Piccolo, he lost interest in martial arts. He ensured that Son-Goku would permanently lose his tail so that he would no longer transform into an Oozaru.
Mr. Popo, in contrast to God, is an excellent martial arts master. He even managed to absorb Son-Goku’s Kamehameha. Together with God, he oversees the Room of Spirit and Time, where fighters can train for years while only a little time passes in reality.
Rank 4: Master Kaio

- First appearance: Dragon Ball Z, Episode 18
- Techniques he taught: Genkidama, Kaio-ken
Master Kaio lives in the afterlife and taught Son-Goku after he died in battle. Although the Kaio is not exactly the best fighter, his techniques helped the Saiyan overcome his opponents.
The strengths of Master Kaio lie in his knowledge. He is a walking encyclopedia of techniques that have been developed over centuries. He thinks very strategically, as he proved during the events on Namek by organizing the transportation of the fighters back.
