Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Switch & Xbox One) is particularly interesting this weekend! There is double XP this double XP weekend, and you can still catch up on the challenges from the past weeks. And the rocket will launch too!
Welcome to the double XP weekend: The double XP weekend takes place this weekend starting now and running until July 2, 2018, at 9:00 AM. You earn 100 percent more experience points for all actions in addition to the usual bonuses from Season Pass and Team Boost.
So you level up in your Season level faster. This way, you can primarily unlock the coveted upgrades for the Carbide and Omega skins, as these are only available through the Season level.
More fun with double XP!
Optimal for completing the Battle Pass: Additionally, there are the levels you can earn in the Battle Pass. Each level in the Season Level gives points for the Battle Pass, and once you have ten of them, you get another level and goodies.
9 weeks full of challenges! If you were planning to complete the missing weekly tasks just before the end of Season 4, now is the perfect time. All challenges are now in the game except for the final week 10. And with double XP, it’s even more worthwhile to tackle the challenges!
Rocket launch this weekend?
There will probably be a fireworks show on Saturday: The prospect of double XP should attract a good number of players to the servers. But Epic is also offering another spectacle: The rocket could launch on Saturday at 7:30 PM!
At least the countdown, which has been visible all over the game since Wednesday, points to this date and time. Something will definitely happen. Perhaps the map will change again, or there will be a completely new map?

Update 8:44 PM: The rocket launch has now been officially confirmed! The in-game message in the English client clearly states: Be in a game at 7:30 PM – a one-time experience awaits you. All information about the launch on Saturday can be read here:
Will the Creative Mode return this weekend?
Another bonus weekend? Season 5 of Fortnite starts on July 12, 2018. It is quite possible that Epic will offer a bonus XP weekend until then.
Creative Mode under repair: With a bit of luck, the new Creative Mode could also be found back in Fortnite. The developers had to remove the mode shortly after its implementation.
So far, work is feverishly underway to fix the errors and make Creative Mode available again. Perhaps it will be ready this weekend!
