For the upcoming shooter Doom, the exact launch times and system requirements for PC are known. There will be a preload.
On May 13, Doom will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. To help you dive into hell right at launch, we’re summarizing important information compactly.
The servers will be started at these times
Good news for those fans who have marked May 13 in red for months and have rescheduled all important dates: You can start at midnight.
Even outside European countries, the servers will go live at midnight local time. If you are currently in Japan, it will only start on May 19, but also at midnight.
Doom will have a preload
If you purchase Doom digitally, you will need to free up some space on your drive. The game files will take about 50 GB (consoles) or 55 GB (PC). If you can only dream of high-speed internet: There will be a preload on PS4, Xbox One, and via Steam so that everyone can hunt demons simultaneously at release.
- For PS4 and Steam: Preload starts on May 11 at midnight local time.
- Xbox users can start the download right now.

Even if you purchase the disc version, you will need to download additional files from Steam (a total of 45 GB). Otherwise, you cannot start the game.
