Fans have recreated some weapons from the latest installment of the shooter series Doom in the “Classic Doom” setting.
In the ZDoom forum, three Doom fans present their dedicated project: DBThanatos, Major Cooke, and Michaelis want to bring the weapons of the latest Doom installment into the “Doom 1 and 2” setting with a gameplay mod.
This project is called Doom for Doom and can be followed by curious fans of the series in the ZDoom forum until its completion.
A reason for this action is also mentioned: The modder Neccronixis has already created some weapons in the old school Doom style. These look so good that they must find a way directly into the game.
Currently, there is no fixed release date for the mod, other than the note “Coming Soon”. According to the modders, however, the waiting time will not be too long. A teaser trailer for Doom for Doom can already be found online:
