In the shooter Doom a new live-action trailer has been released, which sets the stage for the closed beta. We summarize the information.
For the upcoming shooter Doom, Bethesda has revealed a cinematic trailer. The trailer was directed by Joe Kosinski, the director of Tron: Legacy and Oblivion. The three pillars on which Doom is built are highlighted: Combat, Demons, and Big Guns:
With this “Fight Like Hell” live-action trailer, the closed beta of Doom has been launched.
Information on the Closed Beta of Doom
In the Doom multiplayer beta, fans will be able to test the shooter weeks before release and provide feedback. The beta will include the maps Heatwave and Sinister, as well as the modes Team Deathmatch and Warpath. You can try out new weapons, armor sets, taunts, and hack modules:
- Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Stasis Cannon, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun.
- Power Weapons: Gauss Cannon
- Equipment: Hand Grenade, Personal Teleporter, Sucking Grenade
- Daemon: Revenant
However, the developers reserve the right to change this information without notice. The single-player campaign will not be available for testing.
Important information about the Closed Beta:
- The beta starts on April 1 at 4 AM and ends on April 4 at 6 AM.
- It is available on PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.
- Since it is a closed beta, not everyone can participate. You need a Doom Beta Key. This was included with some box versions of Wolfenstein: The New Order.
- The closed beta supports multiple languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

What is coming in Doom
The full version of Doom will be released on Friday, May 13. There will be a standard edition and a collector’s edition, both of which include the following goodies when pre-ordered:
- A “unique and customizable” demon armor set with three skin variations.
- Some cosmetics.
- Six hack modules, which are multiplayer consumables.

Doom will have a single-player campaign, of which little is known, except that it will be fast-paced and bloody. You will be running around and shooting most of the time. The developers have placed a lot of emphasis on the fast pace of the game. Here you can view the campaign trailer:
There will also be a extensive multiplayer, which will be “fast and deadly”. This can be tested in the closed beta.
