In Doom, a YouTuber has recreated the “BFG” using Lego bricks. He proudly presents the result to the fan community.
The YouTuber with the memorable name “ZaziNombies” has made it his mission to recreate numerous weapons from past, present, and future games entirely out of Lego. While he has mostly assembled weapons from Call of Duty Black Ops 3 in recent months, this unique collection is now enriched with the “BFG,” a massive gun known from the shooter classic Doom.
“BFG 9000” made from over 5000 Lego bricks
The BFG 9000, officially dubbed by the community as “Big Fricking Gun” (though another F-word is often used in conversation), officially stands for “Bio Force Gun” and is a powerful weapon that fires green plasma projectiles at enemies. Many players considered it the strongest weapon in the original Doom game, sometimes even the best weapon of all early FPS shooters. Therefore, if one wants to recreate heavy guns from games with Lego, this one cannot be missed.
That is what “ZaziNombies” thought as well and created the monstrous thing out of Lego: Over 5000 individual Lego bricks were used for the model, which weighs a good 9 kilograms.
One might suspect that the “real” demon destructor would weigh a little more, but considering that this real-life replica was made from thousands of plastic pieces, it is quite an impressive weight. It is said to be the heaviest replica that the builder has created from Lego so far.
The YouTuber has definitely demonstrated skill and an eye for detail, as you can see in the following video. Of course, the presentation in first-person perspective cannot be missed:
Also in the upcoming shooter Doom, which will be released on May 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the BFG returns as a “devastating power weapon.” You can see how this gun will look in action in 2016 here:
What do you think of this living room-friendly BFG?
