The Mechagnomes have received a funny dance in World of Warcraft . Does this mean they will become an Allied Race?
A new version of Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara has arrived on the PTR for World of Warcraft. Once again, many new features have been found in the files, some of which are still being data-mined.
However, a new animation immediately caused a stir, as the female Mechagnomes have received their own dance. This increases the likelihood that the Mechagnomes are an allied race.
New dance for the Mechagnomes: In the game files of the patch, colleagues at wowhead discovered that the female Mechagnomes have received their own dance animation. They perform a “robot dance,” which is quite fitting for their mechanical components and may also seem a bit creepy.
Why is a dance so important? Dances are among the “rarest” animations. In World of Warcraft, only a few races have their own dance, if they are not a playable race. This includes, for example, the ogres.
What are Mechagnomes? Players first meet Mechagnomes in the Mechagon zone, which is unlocked with Patch 8.2. Essentially, they are “normal” gnomes who have enhanced their bodies through tinkering and metallic components. Basically, they are the cyborgs of World of Warcraft.
Unlike the king of the “evil” Mechagnomes, the “normal” Mechagnomes do not want their entire body to consist of technology. They want to retain some of their gnomish essence.
What supports the Mechagnomes as an Allied Race? The Mechagnomes already have many customization options in the game files, and we are also helping the Mechagnomes in Mechagon. They would thus have good reason to join both the Horde and the Alliance.
A proof for the Mechagnomes as an Allied Race is not available yet. However, the signs are good.
Would you be happy about the Mechagnomes? Or are no further Allied Races needed in World of Warcraft?
Another possible Allied Race are the Vulpera – there was a very concrete hint…
