Depending on your playstyle, you can earn medals at the end of a mission in Anthem. In addition to the four known medals Soldier, Artillery, Executioner, and Sage, there seems to be a fifth medal: General Tarsis. What is special about this medal and how do you get it?
What do playstyle medals even mean? Depending on your performance during a mission, a stronghold, or in freeplay, you unlock feats that determine which medal you receive at the end.
The following playstyle medals are known:
- Soldier – to unlock the Soldier, you need to defeat elite enemies and hit weak points
- Artillery – Use as many instruments from your arsenal as possible to unlock the Artillery
- Executioner – Kill legendary enemies and use your ultimate ability
- Sage – Help other players, harvest resources, open treasure chests, and collect items in the world.

Is there a fifth medal? Contributions on Reddit indicate that there may be a fifth medal: General Tarsis. Helena Tarsis was a general and leader of the Dawn Legion and is considered a legend in the game world. To unlock this medal, you probably need to
do a lot right in a mission.
How do you get the General Tarsis medal? Although the exact circumstances for obtaining the medal are not yet clear, you likely receive the General Tarsis medal if you complete all available feats in the game at gold level.

This means you need to complete no less than 15 feats within a mission and also at gold level. A lengthy endeavor that will probably not be possible in regular missions.
In freeplay, however, you can do whatever you want and also have unlimited time. Here you can relatively stress-free earn all feats to unlock the General Tarsis medal.

What does this rare medal bring? Probably nothing at all. It only indicates which feats you have accomplished and how many experience points you receive. Consider it a challenge to earn the rarest medal in the game.
