With the new season came new features in Diablo 4. Many players are still missing the seasonal items – but apparently they are simply to blame themselves.
The new feature in Season 9 of Diablo 4 is the Horadric spells, which you use to enhance your builds. The spells consist of three components: Catalyst, Infusion, and Arcana. While you acquire Catalysts and Infusions through the seasonal questline, you find the Arcana in the Horadric vaults within the Nightmare dungeons.
Which seasonal items are we talking about? Because the Arcana were rarely dropped in these vaults at the beginning, Blizzard responded with a hotfix and increased the drop rate. But now many players realize: There are still some items missing in the seasonal inventory tab. They simply overlooked the items or forgot to pick them up.

What is the problem with the Arcana? The Arcana come in three rarity levels: magical (blue), rare (yellow), and legendary (orange) – just like regular equipment. And many players develop a selective loot behavior over time: Blue and yellow items are eventually ignored. And when Arcana are among the “trash items”, they are simply left behind.
In a post on Reddit, Former_Chipmunk_7443 asks: “Is it normal to only find legendary Arcana? I wonder if I am just leaving the rare and magical ones because I usually ignore those colors.” And The_Dynasty_Warrior apparently asks in disbelief: “Do we have to pick them up?”
The user praxisplays sums it up: “It’s actually pretty easy to get them, but difficult to notice them. They have the same colors as other items, so you probably overlooked some.”
And in another Reddit post, a user points out to definitely take the items from the chests. And Stillwindows95 summarizes it in his comment:
In this particular case, I’m glad to be a loot messie. I just can’t leave anything on the ground, everything has to be salvaged. By the second day of the season, I had fully acquired all Catalysts, Infusions, and Arcana. On the first day, I had the bug where I only found two Arcana, but afterwards at most it took 20 Nightmare dungeons until I had everything.
For this mentioned bug, Blizzard recently issued a hotfix and increased the drop rates of the Arcana. Even before, there was an increase in the drop rate for the Horadric vials, which you can use to upgrade your spells. So it shouldn’t fail due to quantity – but you have to pick them up yourself.
The Horadric spells are an important part of many endgame builds in Diablo 4. The Catalyst is the foundation of your spell, the Infusion determines the elemental damage, and the Arcana modify the base power.
